Positioning the Feathers VGs on the 601HDS
On the center wing, place the front tips of the Feathers 310mm in front of the
main rivet line on top of the spar, and at the wingtip 188mm to the main rivet line.
For the swept-back wing on the HDS the VGs neeed to be oriented with respect to the
airflow, not the leading edge of the wing.
For the 601HD wing, 310mm in front of the main rivet line all the way.
This position is 7.3% of chord aft of the leading edge.
Spacing: From the wingtip first 15 VGs 60mm, the rest 90mm.
Horizontal stabilizer: 100mm in front of the gap between the stab and the elevator.
Spacing is 30mm. |
